The Company
ETERNA was founded in 1936 under its original name, Dubeau Brothers Inc., by Jules and William Dubeau. The brothers operated a sawmill located northeast of Montreal, in St-Norbert. Even at this early stage, they were the second largest manufacturer of hardwood in Canada, a testament to their hard work and long-term vision.

Ten years later, they changed the vocation of the company, marketing hardwood flooring through building contractors and specialized retailers.

During the 1960s, Dubeau Brothers progressed with the development of parquet, an avant-garde and immediately popular initiative which complemented their hardwood flooring product mix.

During the 1980s, to meet an ever-increasing demand, the company (now known as Parquets Dubeau) introduced pre-finished wood products. This was followed in the 1990s by the launch of high-quality prefinished hardwood flooring under the ETERNA brand name.

A successful network of specialized flooring retailers in Canada and the United States was developed to support the high-quality and exclusive product line of ETERNA hardwood flooring.

In 2001, Parquets Dubeau and Lauzon Enterprises, another successful flooring manufacturer, joined forces. This successful merger resulted in the launch of an ambitious corporate entity, whose united forces and shared collective knowledge greatly benefited the corporation and customers alike.
